Our study sites are distributed accross the Haida Gwaii archipelago: this includes the large islands of Moresby
and Graham and,
especially, the small islands in Laskeek Bay on the east coast of Moresby.
Some of our study sites are
situated in the protected area of Gwaii Haanas.

Laskeek
Bay
is a natural laboratory, with islands of different deer browsing
histories: islands where deer are absent, islands where deer are
present,
Reef
Island
where deer population has been reduced and
the Skedans
Islands
where deer came more recently.
Our main field camp
is on
Reef,
from which
we access
the other islands
in Laskeek Bay.
